My name is Robert, and I welcome you to my hobby diary! My aim for this site is to share my personal experience of learning two very different disciplines: Coding and Oil Painting. To be more specific, I have an interest in programming & web development, and also enjoy drawing in pencil and painting in oil. To master both is something that can never fully be achieved, but I strive to be somewhat proficient in both.
console.log("Hello World");The blog name, Code And Oil, is inspired by Edinburgh-born Arthur Conan Doyle, the famous author who wrote Sherlock Holmes. A deliberate bit of wordplay that shares where I, too, was born.
I hope you enjoy the page. The intention isn’t to share tutorials or best practices; there’s plenty of that content elsewhere online. Rather, my intention is simply to share what I’ve been working on in a bid to show the highs and lows of learning new things.
